Congratulations on your new baby! Thank you so much for allowing me the amazing and rewarding job of photographing your new little one in his/her first days of life. Newborns are my passion and I consider myself truly blessed to be around these tiny miracles.

The studio is located at 808 North 26th Street, just a short distance from noble park. It’s a small home with white siding and black shutters. The studio is at the 3rd door near the shed. I encourage you to aim to be 5-10 minutes early. The first few weeks with a new baby are quite an adjustment and I know all too well the struggle to arrive on time. If you are late, no worries, just shoot me a quick text to let me know you’re on your way!

I ask that you feed him/her before you leave the house. The drive to the studio usually makes them nice and sleepy. If you have a bit of a drive down here, you’re welcome to feed at the studio. Just let me know that you’ll need extra time before we begin shooting.

If you purchased the full session, it will last about 2 hours,  but longer if baby is a light sleeper, or is hungry. The easiest way to ensure a sleepy baby is the willingness to nurse/bottlefeed off and on.

If you can, bring the soothie pacifier the hospital sent you home with. It's the bendable, green/blue one, and won't leave marks. Even if you haven't used one, just for the 2 hours that I'm posing him/her usually really helps, however if you really prefer that we don’t use one, that’s fine as well!

It will be at least 80 degrees in the studio. Due to this, I come dressed for a warm few hours and suggest you do too!

Mom & Dad -- you are a big part of the show. Photographing the connection between you and your baby is one of my all time favorite things. You may not be feeling your best since the birth of your little bundle, and that’s ok! I promise you wont regret having beautiful photos with your tiny human. I keep the focus on your faces and on the new baby so I encourage you to dress comfortably.

Moms - feel free to wear yoga pants and a light tshirt or tank in a neutral color like black or white. Be sure that you have no nail polish as your hands will make their way into the images. Also, rest assured, I aim to photograph using flattering angles and light to bring out the natural beauty in your family.

Monochromatic neutrals help keep the focus on the baby, so dads should coordinate with a solid color shirt with short sleeves as well.

Including older brother/sister(s) in your newborn’s portraits is the perfect way to document this fleeting time in your lives. Sisters should have their hair off their faces and wear light neutrals like cream, ivory, whites, and greys. For brothers, a snug pair of jeans and shirtless are preferred, please take a few moments to chat with your guy about this so he feels prepared for  the session - though if he prefers not, a tight-fitting white t-shirt is fine. If siblings will be joining you for the session I have a tablet, books, and toys as well as organic snacks on hand to help pass the time or if your little one gets restless in small spaces, dad is welcome to leave with brother/sister while we finish the session.

One of the biggest questions I get when parents are preparing for their session is "what should the baby wear". The easy answer is, nothing. Bring your little one in a sleeper and I will do the rest. The studio is packed full of adorable props, wraps, backdrops, and hats which I will coordinate and style prior to your session. If you have any requests for specific colors or themes that are important to your family, I am always more than happy to plan your session to your specifications! Please let me know any specific requests as soon as possible so I can order anything that I may not already have on hand.

Many clients are gifted crochet sets or blankets for their little one and I am always happy to accommodate them. Please be aware that many of the crochet sets you can purchase in store or online do not necessarily fit all babies and may not work for your session.

Heirlooms are so incredibly special and I always love to include little keepsakes in your session. If you have something special you would like to incorporate, please send me photos to help with posing and styling plans.

I am 1 in 4. If you are a rainbow mom-to-be I would love to honor your journey by incorporating a rainbow theme into your session. Your story is important and I am here to listen.

Please note that we do not currently have a public restroom.

It is my hope that you come to the studio feeling comfortable and at home.

I am truly honored to be able to document this incredible time in your lives and look forward to getting to know you and your sweet family!
